Terms of Service
By creating a HECKLE account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The service
HECKLE helps friends make accountability pacts, share receipts, and nudge each other. Features may change, break, or be retired as we improve the product.
Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old.
- Provide accurate account information and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
- You may delete your account at any time in the app or at /delete-account.
Acceptable use
Don’t use HECKLE to harass, threaten, exploit, or illegally harm anyone. Don’t upload unlawful content, malware, or content you don’t have rights to share. HECKLE has a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including CSAM — see our Child Safety Standards. Don’t attempt to break authentication, scrape private data, or disrupt the service. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post. You grant Lost Sheep Studios a limited license to host, transmit, and display that content as needed to operate HECKLE for you and the friends you share it with. Social content may remain visible to remaining members in anonymized form after you delete your account.
Third-party services
HECKLE relies on Firebase, Expo push infrastructure, and optional GIF providers. Their terms and availability can affect the service.
Disclaimer
HECKLE is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that nudges, deadlines, or notifications will always arrive on time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lost Sheep Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of HECKLE.
